The Village Diaper Bank partners with local social service organizations to provide a reliable stipend of diapers to families in need. Our mission is to eradicate diaper need to improve the physical, mental, and economic health of the families we serve. 1 in 3 families struggle to provide an adequate supply of diapers to keep their children clean, safe, and healthy. Families affected are often forced to choose between diapers and other basic necessities like food, utility payments, or gas for their vehicles. Parents are forced to miss work since most daycare centers require families to provide their own supply of diapers. Additionally, children’s brains build the foundation for attachment, trust, and emotional maturity at just a few weeks old and the stress of being left in a dirty diaper can permanently alter their brain development. Diaper need is a huge barrier to health equity and economic stability for those affected.
