Every day in Wisconsin, 81 people hear the words ?you have cancer.? A cancer diagnosis brings with it feelings of fear, isolation and loss. The initial experience can be overwhelming. Medical terms, insurance worries and work absences can set new highs for stress. The anxiety and feeling of helplessness, however, can last well into treatment and beyond. In addition, for every person who is diagnosed, family members, friends and caregivers also feel the impact and often need support. Whether it?s the person living with cancer, family member or caregiver, Gilda's Club can make a difference in the lives of those who are facing cancer.
Gilda's Club Madison offers a welcoming community of FREE support for everyone touched by cancer - men, women, teens and children - along with their families and friends. The mission of Gilda's Club Madison is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
Our menu of emotional support, education and wellness services bring high quality cancer support to more than 2,200 people in Southwest Wisconsin. Learn more today at GildasClubMadison.org.
