Madison College Performing Arts presents the award winning 1999 revival of YOU'RE A GOOD, MAN CHARLIE BROWN A family musical based on the comic strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz. Original book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner Revised book, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa Produced with special permission by Tams-Witmark Musical Library Directed for Madison College by Jace Nichols, Musical Direction by Pat Hetland and Choreography by Robin Fonfara You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown follows an average day in the average life of the lovable, yet hapless Charlie Brown. We laugh as he musters the courage to talk to the little red-haired girl, clumsily attempts to fly a kite, valiantly swings a bat in the final play of the baseball game, and sings his heart out during a Glee Club rehearsal; all in the pursuit of becoming a genuinely "good man." The 1999 revival earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Revival of a Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Musical numbers include You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, My Blanket and Me, Little Known Facts, Suppertime, Beethoven Day, My New Philosophy, Happiness, The Kite, and The Book Report Join members of the cast before either Sunday 2 pm Matinee for the Peanut's Picnic for an additional $6 per person. The Menu includes: Snoopy's Hot Dogs, Chuck's Mac and Cheese, Linus' Lemonade and more.
