Event Description: About the talk: Digesters are a potentially powerful tool to process manure and, when paired with phosphorus reduction technology, to protect our lakes. What is the future of digesters in Dane County? Join us for Yahara Lakes 101 to hear more from Dane County and Clean Fuel Partners, the new owner and operator of the Waunakee-area digester. About our speakers: Kevin Connors is the Director of the Dane County Land & Water Resources Department; John Haeckel is the CEO of Clean Fuel Partners. About the series: Yahara Lakes 101 is a series of educational events open to the public and a great chance for residents to learn more about the science behind the issues that affect our lakes. Each month we feature a different expert to make the science accessible and interesting to non-technical audiences.
