Event Description:
This workshop will focus on strategies on how to become a more engaged and empowered patient. Topics will include how to negotiate a partnership with your physician, what to do when your relationship with your physician is not working, navigating difficult treatment decisions, how to go about obtaining a second opinion, and accessing medical health records. Grassroots collective patient advocacy will also be discussed for those who want to know how to get more involved.
