he Arthritis Foundation provides advocacy, awareness, and health related programming in the Dane County community. We support those who fight this disease on a daily basis and make a true impact in the face of arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation recognizes the continuous battle women face, not only as those living with arthritis, but for those who are also caregivers of the disease. Many women in our region, in addition to those living with this debilitating disease, also have children who live with the daily struggles of arthritis. There are 6,000 children living with juvenile arthritis in Wisconsin alone!

Studies confirm that in a primary household the woman is the advocate for her family’s healthcare needs, making medical appointments and speaking out publicly on behalf of the disease to promote public awareness and policy change. It is our mission to give these women the tools to do just that, supporting the Foundation and being advocates for change. As ambassadors armed with this knowledge these women truly will change the face of arthritis and those it affects.
