Ana has such amazing technique, dexterity, and affinity for this composer, we had to get her back. This modern Spanish composer writes idiomatically for both the guitar and chamber orchestra. Mozart’s Symphony No. 30 provides the overture to the program. Bruckner’s Third Symphony in D minor is a compelling work as he works out the themes in a formal structure that are enhanced by the transparency of a smaller string section.
