UW Family Business Center Program #2: Financial Parenting For The Family Business
Thursday, November 3, 2011
3:30pm-6:30pm
Fluno Center
601 University Ave.
Madison, WI 53715
Presented by Jayne Pearl, author, "Kids Wealth and Consequences".
How much should you reveal to your children about what they will eventually inherit? Telling them all may squelch their motivation to be productive; telling them nothing will leave them ill prepared to handle the money responsibly. As business owners and parents, how you address this and other questions will affect your business and your family. Jayne Pearl, co-author of Kids, Wealth, and Consequences: Ensuring a Responsible Financial Future for the Next Generation, will share strategies to impart financial values and skills that will equip your children to be financially aware, goal-driven and focused. The goal is to leave your children the legacy of true financial freedomwhich Pearl says is about much more than money.
Cost: Free for prospective/current UW Family Business Center Members and Sponsors, otherwise $200 per company.
***The UW FBC Fall Social networking event will immediately follow this program from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Fluno Center***
