Event Description:
Join DreamBank for this special learning opportunity in honor of Native American Heritage Month. In Hooçak (Ho-Chunk language), Teejop, meaning “Four Lakes,” is named after the deep lakes that define the landscape and provided a high quality of life for all living beings in between the periodic ice ages. Aaron Bird Bear, Director of Tribal Relations of the Office of University Relations & Division of Extension University of Wisconsin-Madison, will expand on the culture of the Teejop and explains why the UW-Madison campus is considered the most archaeologically-rich campus in the United States.
