As an employee working abroad, what are the critical considerations with new work environments and expectations; what about family? Negotiating an Expat Package Translating Mission, Culture and HR Policy for a New Geography International Staffing Considerations: hiring local versus expatriate. SPEAKERS: Our first speaker, Laura Meyers, the Vice President of Sales, USA, with World of Expats. Recently, she was Product Director, Retention-Growth, End-User Products with Gartner, Inc. driving change management processes and supporting sales teams with their renewals and growth. Prior to Gartner, Laura was VP of Business Development with Kallik, Ltd., a British software firm. Earlier in her career, Laura spent 13 years in Europe with Proudfoot Consulting and Cambridge Technology partners, as well as in financial management and enterprise system implementation roles with the Wrigley Jr. Company. She Laura provides intercultural training to European and American executives with the major global relocation companies. Laura speaks German, French, and Dutch. Our second speaker, Stacey Neu, is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Spectrum Brands. Stacey has Global Chief Human Resources responsibility for 16,000+ employees in over 50 countries. Stacey joined Spectrum Brands in 2003 and since that time has provided HR leadership in a broad range of areas including acquisitions / people integration, organizational transformation / change management, Employee / Labor Relations, compensation, shared services, and HR technology implementation. Stacey supported a broad range of Spectrum's businesses from batteries to personal care. Stacey is active in the community, serving as Board Chair for Clean Lakes Alliance and as an Executive Board Member of Pet Partners. Stacey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Phoenix.
