Madison Area Executive Networking
Name:
Madison Area Executive Networking
Date:
August 2, 2012
Time:
4:15 PM - 6:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
If you are an executive or senior professional in the $100K+ bracket who is planning to change jobs, look for a new career position, or are considering starting your own business, consulting practice or buying a franchise, this is the career networking meeting to attend! We are focused solely on helping you improve your networking skills, increase and maintain effective contacts, and bring efficiencies to the job search process.
This "peer-level" monthly networking forum enables you to help one another get connected to those who can support your transition, including decision makers in target companies. In these productive networking sessions you will learn from experts on various subjects of interest. You will receive feedback, suggestions, and referrals that will improve the quality and productivity of your Job Search Campaign Strategy.
** We enforce a strict NO SOLICITATION policy. Do not attend the meeting with the intention of following up to make sales of services or products.
AGENDA: Thursday, Aug. 2nd, 2012
4:15 - 4:45 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres and informal networking
4:45 - 6:15 p.m. Structured and facilitated introductions and group support on contacts, introductions, advice. Each person will be allowed 5 MINUTES (2 minutes for your pitch described above and 3 minutes for group feedback, suggestions, and support.)
6:15 - 6:30 Meeting Announcements, Adjournment and Informal Networking
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OPEN AND STRUCTURED NETWORKING PORTIONS OF THE MEETING?
During "Open" networking you're free to mingle around the room and participate in table discussions. You can feel free to ask others for specific help, i.e. ideas about what companies to target, contacts within those companies, or assistance with any aspect of your search. Bring plenty of business cards to leave with those you meet. A small card with nothing more than your name and phone number and e-mail address is fine.
