Event Description:

4th annual spectacular lighted boat parade on Lake Mendota, right after the finish of the Taste of Madison on Labor Day weekend! The boat parade begins at dusk near Maple Bluff Beach and heads along the shoreline past Burrows Park, Tenney Park, James Madison Park, The Edgewater Hotel, restaurant & pier, and the Memorial Union. It's topped off with a display of fireworks from a barge in the lake. Family friendly event! Come see decorated boats in lights, some with music. Any family, non-profit organization or company can pre-register and tastefully decorate their theme boat for a chance to win a trip for two to Fort Lauderdale Florida's Winterfest boat parade this December.

Fees/Admission:

Free for spectators. Family or Non-profit $25 to register boat and $50 for companies to display their company name in lights. A portion of the proceeds will be donated toward lake weed cutting and reduction through Yahara Lakes Association.
