Event Description:
Intro to Curvy Yoga is a six­-week series for anyone who is newer to yoga and wants to practice in a positive, encouraging class with other full-­bodied yogis.

Learn the basic reclined, seated, kneeling, and standing yoga postures including modifications to suit your unique body. Each class will include body­positive meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), low­-intensity asana (yoga postures), and a relaxing savasana (rest).

Curvy Yoga is body­positive yoga for people of all shapes and sizes. It is designed to help bigger ­bodied people feel comfortable practicing yoga. This workshop is not focused on losing weight or how you should look.

PLEASE NOTE: Many yoga postures take place on the floor, either seated or being on hands and knees. Participants should be comfortable getting up and down from the floor. If you are unsure of your ability to participate in this series, please feel free to email Cheryl at cheryl@blissflowyoga.com for more information.

Cheryl Breuer is a 200-­hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) and Madison’s only Curvy Yoga-certified instructor.

The cost for the six-week series is $89. Not ready to commit? Try the first class for $17 and you can apply the cost toward enrollment.
