Event Description:
Family is a rich source of stories, questions, conundrums and material. And most of us have some fascinating stories lurking in our backgrounds! Like, where exactly was your father for 6 months in 1980? What really kept that fractious marriage together? Why does one child have such a different relationship with her parents than her siblings do? We’ll talk about some wonderful examples of family stories, the pleasures and pitfalls of telling stories that you know so well, about people you know very well, and how to translate the thing that fascinates you in your own family story to the reader.
