IceBreaker 2021
Event Description:
At last year's IceBreaker, we invited you to gather together with President Biden's Surgeon General nominee, Dr. Vivek Murthy, to explore the critical questions of this moment surrounding connectivity, mindfulness, gratitude and individual health. In that spirit of connectivity, last year's theme is connected to this year's theme, rely, which in its original meaning was "to gather together. "
Rely is derived from the Latin word religare, which means "to fasten" or "to bind." Today, rely has come to mean "to have confidence based on experience."
We are bound to those that we rely on, and at a time when we have been necessarily distant, we must rely on each other now more than ever. For our health. For our work. For support. For confidence that better days are on the horizon.
IceBreaker has always been about looking to the future with optimism and a resolute collaborative spirit. At our seventh annual IceBreaker on March 11 – exactly one year since COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic – we will blend the virtual with the physical for a series of one-to-one-to-many conversations featuring some of Greater Madison’s most inspiring and innovative leaders and the global icons and emerging talent they rely on.
