Saved Hundreds Of Dollars!

Like many business people, I routinely use email to communicate with my clients and prospects. I didn't know that a client was getting ticked off because I hadn't gotten back to him with the proposal he requested. I didn't get his email. Another client was waiting to pay her invoice to me because she needed clarification on an item. I didn't get her email. Another client was still waiting patiently for a proposal I'd emailed a week ago... it didn't arrive. Several phone conversations later... now I did know. Sinking feeling. Focus. I re-sent stuff. No problem. More phone calls came. Problem. Apparently no one was getting emails or attachments from me. So I handled the immediate issues by phone and FAX then set out to fix the email issue. Wow! What other lost communications... how many other lost business opportunities where there? Four days and many online articles later, I still had no clue what to do. I was sweatin' bullets because clients and prospects EXPECT email capability. I finally called CubeJumpers and talked to Steve Smith. The guy with all the initials after his name. He approached the problem in a systematic way, asking really good questions that the online and on phone help people did not ask. Plus, the online and on-phone people all wanted a credit card number before doing anything, and of course... offered no guarantees. One of them had an inordinate amount of bad phone connections. He gave up calling me back after the fifth time. Steve, on the other hand, had a solid phone connection, spoke American English and asked great questions as he systematically narrowed the problem down, eliminating possibilities along the way. He navigated skilfully through a maze of possibilities that I NEVER would have thought of. There IS a reason for all those initials after his name! About an hour later he solved the problem by testing and resetting passwords on another set of servers that forward and echo my emails. I was totally oblivious to this function. That's another way of saying... I never would have figured it out on my own. In fact, hundreds of dollars later... I doubt that the "online help folks" would have solved this unique problem. They asked only common questions about things I'd already tried. There IS a difference working with the professionals at CubeJumpers.
