Eggs and Issues: Advance Now with Thrive Feb. 29, 2012
Eggs & Issues with Thrive
What is Advance Now: Madison Region's Strategy for Economic Growth, and what will it mean for business? Join us next week at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly Eggs & Issues event as we welcome Thrive, the economic development partnership for the eight-county Madison Region, and members of the Advance Now Strategy Committee for a discussion of this comprehensive, action-oriented regional economic development strategy.
Led by Advance Now co-chairs Bill Johnston, Publisher of the Wisconsin State Journal, and Carl Gulbrandsen, Managing Director of Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundatoin, we’ll explore the key goals of the Advance Now Strategy and discuss the outcomes that will benefit our business community. Dave Stark, President of Stark Company Realtors; Susan LaBelle, Board Member of the Madison College Foundation; and Jon Bales, Superintendent of DeForest School District, will also serve as panel members.
The Strategy addresses key issues facing the region’s businesses, such as workforce pipeline, talent attraction and retention, economic climate, and access to capital. Come share the perspective of your business community on the Strategy’s five goal areas:
- Advance Economic Competitiveness
- Advance Human Capital
- Advance Innovation & Entrepreneurship
- Advance the Madison Region’s Story
- Advance Regional Cooperation, Leadership & Diversity
Join us on February 29 for an update from Thrive on the Advance Now project.
The program will be held at the Sheraton Hotel from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
