Daniel Okrent, author of Last Call: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition and consultant/commentator for the PBS documentary "Prohibition," will describe the social climate and culture that led to the 1919 ratification of the 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that banned the manufacture, transportation and sale of alcohol until its repeal in 1933.
