Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is Scrum 101
Event Description:
Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is the essential class for those new to Scrum or seeking a deeper understanding of Scrum roles, artifacts, and events. This interactive and engaging course goes beyond theoretical knowledge, allowing participants to apply Scrum in a controlled environment. Ideal for developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, managers, leaders, and beginners, this class provides a comprehensive introduction to Scrum foundations and is perfect for team learning.
Throughout the two-day instruction, participants will actively experience the practical application of Scrum. By working collaboratively in simulated Sprints, they will tackle real-world problems, gaining firsthand insights into how Scrum enables value delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, and effective teamwork. The course emphasizes not only learning Scrum principles but also understanding how to utilize Scrum effectively.
The APS class includes two days of in-depth instruction, a course workbook, and access to the complete slide deck and supplementary materials. Additionally, participants receive one free attempt to earn their Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification. After completing the course, an exam code will be provided for the PSM I exam, offering the opportunity to validate Scrum knowledge.
Notably, this course may qualify for 14 Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional Development Units (PDUs), allowing participants to claim PDUs for their PMI certification.
The class will be conducted remotely over two full-day sessions, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, August 8-9, 2023, from 9:00 AM CST to 5:00 PM CST each day. Discussion and active participation are encouraged throughout the class, ensuring a dynamic and enriching learning experience.
