7th Annual Handel Aria Competition
The 7th annual Handel Aria Competition will take place on Friday, June 7 at 7:30 in Mills Hall of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Mead Witter School of Music, 455 South Park Street. Seven finalists have been selected from around the world to come to Madison to compete for cash prizes, the Audience Favorite award, and the opportunity to give a recital in Handel’s parish church in London next spring. These emerging artists will each perform two arias from Handel’s operas, oratorios and cantatas, accompanied by the Madison Bach Musicians under the direction of Trevor Stephenson.
