Event Description:
With 109 years of experience catering to the needs of Madison-area motorists, Smart Motors has always remained focused on providing the best customer experience possible – regardless if shopping for a New vehicle or Used vehicle. They have equipped their pre-owned facilities with the same highly-knowledgeable sales teams, offered warranties and guarantees that are top-notch in the industry, their inventory has always been plentiful, and their service and parts department has been second-to-none.
But after building their state-of-the-art new vehicle building on Odana Rd. in 2007, the pre-owned vehicle lot across the street just seemed to pale in comparison. Given that, plans have been in development for some time to update the pre-owned vehicle division. Smart Motors didn’t just want to give it a face-lift, though. Utilizing the design and construction services of Sullivan designBUILD, an entirely new facility will be built where the existing business is now (5702 Odana Road - across from the new vehicle facility) featuring many upgrades and updates. The official ground-breaking is scheduled for October 26th at 10:30AM, with plans to open the brand new facility to the public in spring 2018.
The freshly updated pre-owned vehicle facility will architecturally mirror the new vehicle building’s open concept. Smart Motors will provide the same customer service and amenities at both locations along with a waiting area and a dedicated pre-owned vehicle delivery bay. The new structure will also have the capacity to double the dealership’s current inventory. The facility itself is going from an 1,800-sq. ft., one-story building to a 13,952 sq. ft., two-story structure with a large showroom, a children’s play area and guest lounge, a separate finance team, IT and marketing departments.
