Created by the 2017 federal tax reform law, opportunity zones are a new economic tool designed to spur investment and job creation in designated areas. On February 20, interested stakeholders are invited to learn about the new program, see detailed maps of Madison’s designated areas covering eleven individual Census Tracts, and network with potential partners. The event will include presentations from the City of Madison on priorities for the designated areas, as well as a panel of experts discussing details of how the private sector can take advantage of this powerful new tool.
