Better Together at Short Stack Eatery

Name: Better Together at Short Stack Eatery
Date: February 13, 2019 - February 17, 2019
Event Description:
We believe that everyone should feel welcome at our tables.

He. She. Ze. They. You. Us.

We also believe that everyone loves breakfast, and while we know there’s a long way to go before arriving to the equitable society we dream about, we’re doing our best to strive for inclusivity as we move onward toward the future.

That’s why we’d like to bring Valentine’s Day 2019 back to the basics.

Valentine's Day is a traditionally heteronormative celebration. However, there are SO MANY connections between which love thrives!

Celebrate whatever form of love feels truest to you - whether romantic, platonic, bff-tastic, or that simple, earnest connection that blossoms between your tastebuds and a full stack of our sweet potato oatmeal pancakes. Feel free to #BringYourBaeToBrunch and enjoy hand-crafted cocktails celebrating community leaders who have made significant strides in the name of equity, and enjoy shareable favorites like our breakfast burrito, eggs benedict, and yes - all the short stacks you can handle.

Hint: your “bae” is any special person you’d pick “before anyone else,” for those who don’t feel like checking Urban Dictionary. (Confession: we totally did.)

It will also be an opportunity for new and loyal customers to bond over our infamous blind specials! After last year's success, our blind specials will be entirely vegan for the WHOLE month of February! If you’re brave, come sample our mystery creations and try a sustainable cause that we’re excited to support.

This year, we are picking up a page from the online community art project PostSecret and we’re inviting the community to engage with us by writing postcards to SSE (anonymously or otherwise), touching upon these two questions: "Who do you love?" and "What does love mean to you?" Make yours at home, visit Anthology's craft room (230 State Street), or get creative at Short Stack between now and February 10th to contribute to this community art project.

Check out our menu online at www.shortstackeats.com and stay to read about some of our newest sustainability efforts on the SSE Blog.

Drop us a like or a follow on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and tell us about your meal, and why you’re excited to #BringYourBaeToBrunch!
